Fire Escape Analysis

First example: Living accommodation - three apartments around a courtyard.

Problem? Living areas are further than 9m away from the entrance.

Solution? Reducing the width away from the entrance, bringing the living

spaces closer and adding 2 sets of stairs for safety.

Second example: Living accommodation - eight apartments around a hallway.

Problem? The apartments to the ends of the buildings are more than 7.5m

away from the stairs and are dead-ends.

Solution? Placing the stairs and elevators each in one ends. they are 30m

apart with no dead ends.
